Abstract

Kata kunci: Unsafe action, faktor penyebab, bekerja di ketinggian Background: Unsafe action is an act of someone who increases the risk of work accidents. Unsafe action occured in the construction sector that is considered a dangerous workplace, where cases of accidents increase each year, especially cases of work accidents fell from a height. Factor that cause unsafe action was the underlying factor of a behavior, such as worker characteristics, knowledge, attitude, values and culture, trust, motivation, perception, and compliance. The aims of this study was to determine whether there was a correlation between attitude factors toward unsafe action itself, motivation toward safe behavior, compliance with K3 regulation, and perception towards K3 implementation with unsafe action at construction height workers. Method: This research used analytical method with cross sectional approach and analyzed by chi square test. The sample used 42 respondents of total population. The instrument used questionnaire. Results: the attitudes of unsafe action of workers did not support unsafe action (90.5%), most of the motivation for strong workers safe behavior (90.5%), the majority of adherence to workers occupational safety regulations was obedient (85.7%), And the majority of perceptions on the application of Occupational Safety and Health was good (78,6%), and unsafe action of worker with low category (38,1%), enough (35,7%), medium (16,7%), and high (9,5%). There was attitude of relations (p = 0,003), motivation (p = 0,003), compliance (p = 0,000), perception (p = 0,038) with unsafe action. Conclusion: there was correlation between attitude to unsafe action, motivation to safe behavior, compliance to K3 regulation, and perception to applying of K3 with unsafe action. Keyword: unsafe action, the factors associated, working at height
