Abstract

Latar Belakang : Penyakit kusta merupakan penyakit kronik yang masih menjadi masalah di negara berkembang. Masalah yang dihadapi bukan hanya dari segi medis tetapi sampai pada masalah sosial, ekonomi, budaya, keamanan dan ketahanan nasional. Kabupaten Kendal merupakan daerah tinggi kusta. Faktor risiko kejadian kusta adalah umur, jenis kelamin, tingkat pendidikan, jenis lantai, faktor imunitas, kelembaban rumah, ventilasi, suhu, kepadatan hunian, riwayat kontak, lama kontak,. Tujuan : Mengetahui hubungan kondisi fisik rumah (jenis lantai, kelembaban rumah, kepadatan hunian ), riwayat kontak, lama kontak dan personal hygiene dengan kejadian kusta di Kabupaten Kendal. Metode: penelitian ini merupakan observasional analitik dengan menggunakan pendekatan kasus kontrol dengan teknik pengambilan total sampling dengan sampel kasus sebesar 26 orang dan sampel kontrol 26. Variabel bebasnya adalah jenis lantai, kelembaban rumah, kepadatan hunian, riwayat kontak, lama kontak dan personal hygiene. Hasil : kondisi rumah yang tidak memenuhi syarat (jenis lantai 22 responden (42,3%), kelembaban rumah 23 responden (44,2%), kepadatan hunian 22 responden (42,3%) dan mempunyai riwayat kontak 26 responden (50%), lama kontak 16 responden (64%) dan personal hygiene 25 responden (48,1 %). Simpulan : Ada hubungan antara jenis lantai (p= 0,012), kelembaban rumah ( p = 0,026), kepadatan hunian (p=0,049), riwayat kontak ( p= 0,000), personal hygiene ( p = 0,001) dan tidak ada hubungan antara lama kontak (p= 0,275) dengan kejadian kusta. Kata Kunci : kejadian kusta, kondisi fisik rumah, riwayat kontak, personal hygiene . Background : Leprosy is a chronical disease that is still be a problem in development Countries. The problems encountered not only in terms of medical but also a sosial, economic, culture and security and nasional defense. Kendal is a high area of leprosy. The purpose of this study to determine The physical condition of the house (floor type, house humidity, occupancy density), contact history, contact length and personal hygiene with leprosy in the district of kendal. Leprosy risk factor are age, gender, immunity, house humidity, ventilation, temperature, occupancy density, contact history, lemgth of contact. Method : This research is an observational by using case control approach with total sampling technique with case sample of 26 people and control sample 26 people . The free variabels is floor type, humidity, occupancy density, contact history, contact length and personal hygiene. Result : the result of phisical house condition that is according to the not standart are ( floor type 22 responden (42,3%), humidity 23 responden (44,2%), occupancy density 22 responden (42,3%) and contact history 26 responden (50%), contact length 16 responden (64%) and personal hygiene 25 responden (48,1 %). Conclusion :The result showed there relationship between floor type (p= 0,012), house humidity ( p = 0,026), occupancy density 0,049, contact history ( p= 0,000), personal hygiene ( p = 0,001) and there was no relationship between the contact length (p= 0,275) and the incidence of leprosy .
