Abstract
Background: Diarrhea is a condition in which a person suffering from diarrhea, a watery stool, can be mixed with blood and mucus sometimes accompanied by vomiting, so diarrhea can cause body fluids to drain out through the stool. When diarrhea sufferers lose lot of body fluids then this can cause death, especially in infants and children under the age of five years. Method: This research type is quantitative research with design of correlation research using Case Control design. The population in the case was 40 respondents and the control population was 98 respondents and the number of research samples were 80 respondents (40 in case group and 40 in the control group). The sampling technique used in this research is simple random sampling using Chi-Square test. Result: Result of relationship analysis Chi Square test result obtained p value = 0,028 (p value less than α0,05) hence can be concluded that there is significant relation between usage of bottleususu with incident diarepadaanakbalita. The results of the analysis also obtained the value OR = 3.483 which means: respondents who do not use warm water / soap after using a bottle of milk for children balitanya have a risk of 3.484 times children affected by diarrhea. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the use of milk bottles with the incidence of diarrhea in children under five (p-value 0.028). Keywords: Diarrhea, Formal Mother's Education, Mother's Work, Mother Age, Source of Clean Water, Possession of Latrine, Use of Milk Bottle.
