Abstract

Latarbelakang: Filariasis merupakan penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh cacing filarial yang ditularkan melalui nyamuk Anopheles, Culex, Aedes, Mansonia, di Kabupaten Demak kasus ini cenderung meningkat dengan dipengaruhinya kondisi lingkungan dan vektor di sekitar kasus filariasis. Metode:jenis penelitian ini deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional, sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu responden yang berada dalam jarak 50 meter dengan kasus Filariasis di Kabupaten Demak dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 59 orang.Variabel penelitian ini meliputi: pemakaian kelambu, keberadaan kawat kasa, keberadaan pakaian yang tergantung, riwayat pekerjaan, riwayat tempat tinggal, keberadaan genangan air, keberadaan vektor,dan spesies nyamuk vector dengan menggunakan analisis data univariat. Hasil: sebagian besar responden tidur tidak menggunakan kelambu sebanyak 72,9%, mayoritas rumah yang tidak terpasang kawat kasa 81,4%, pakaian yang tergantung dirumah 25,4%, pekerjaan yang banyak pedagang 23,7%, hanya 3,4% yang tinggal di luar jawa, keberadaan genangan air 59,3%, keberadaan vector 47,5% serta ditemukan nyamuk vector filariasis yang terdiri dari Anopheles 6 (25,0%)dan Culex18(75,0%). Kesimpulan:Pencegahan penularan filariasis dilakukan dengan mengurangi kontak langsung dengan nyamuk yaitu dengan cara tidur menggunakan kelambu, memasang kawat kasa pada ventilasi rumah, tidak membiarkan pakaian tergantung supaya tidak menjadikan tempat istirahat nyamuk dan memperbaiki kondisi SPAL supaya tidak menjadi tempat perkembangbiakan nyamuk. Kata kunci: Filariasis, Kondisi Lingkungan, dan Vektor Background: Filariasis is an infectious disease caused by filarial worms transmitted through Anopheles, Culex, Aedes, Mansonia, mosquitoes in Demak District where this case tends to increase with the adverse environmental and vector conditions surrounding filariasis cases. Methodology: This study used descriptive method with cross sectional approach; the sample of this study was the respondents who were within 50 meters with Filariasis case in Demak District which was the number of respondents as many as 59 people. The variables of this study consisted of the use of mosquito nets, the presence of wire netting, the presence of clothes dependent, occupational history, residence history, presence of standing water, presence of vectors, and species of vector mosquitoes by using univariate data analysis. Results: most of the respondents did not use mosquito nets when they slept as much as 72.9%, the majority of houses were not attached wire netting 81.4%, the home dependent clothes 25.4%, the employment of many traders 23.7%, only 3.4% who lived outside of Java, the presence of puddles 59.3%, existence of vector 47,5% and found mosquito vector filariasis which consisted of Anopheles 6 (25%) and Culex 18 (75%). Conclusions: The prevention of filariasis transmission is done by reducing direct contact with mosquitoes by sleeping using mosquito nets, installing wire netting on the house ventilation, do not let the clothes hanging so it does not make the mosquito rest area and improve the condition of SPAL which is not to be a breeding ground for mosquitoes.
