Abstract

Bakteri coliform merupakan salah satu indikator pencemaran air yang tercemar malalui feses. Pengendalian coliform dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan paparan gas ozon yang sering digunakan sebagai bahan pemurnian air (desinfeksi). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan waktu paparan ozon terhadap jumlah coliform. Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimen dengan rancangan posttest control group desain. Sampel yang digunakan adalah bakteri coliform dengan tahapan membuat suspensi coliform 106 yang dikontaminasikan kedalam 1000 ml air. Kemudian di ozonisasi dengan menggunakan alat ozonizer dengan perbedaan waktu paparan desinfeksi 5, 10, 15, dan 20 menit dan ditanam pada media CCA dengan metode TPC spreade Jumlah coliform tanpa perlakuan sebanyak 5,22x102 koloni/ml, setelah di ozonisasi selama 5 menit (42 mg) jumlah coliform sebanyak 0,02x102 koloni/ml sedangkan pada waktu 10 menit (83 mg), 15 menit (125 gm) dan 20 menit (167 gm) jumlah coliform 0 koloni/ml. Hasil uji kruskual wallis menunjukan nilai P.value 0,000 < (0,05). Sehingga terdapat perbedaan hasi yang signifikan terhadap jumlah coliform setelah ozonisasi. Kata kunci : Waktu kontak, paparan Ozon, jumlah coliform Coliform bacteria is one indicator of contaminated water pollution through feces. Coliform of control can be performed using the gas ozone exposure which is often used as a material for water purification (disinfection). The purpose of this research is to know the difference of the ozone exposure time against the number of coliforms. The research method used an conducted experimentally using posttest control group design. The sample used coliform bacteria with stages to create coliform suspension 106 contaminated into 1000 ml of water. Then ozonized by using ozonizer with different time exposure desinfection 5, 10, 15, and 20 minutes and planted on CCA medium with TPC spreade method. Results of coliform counts without treatment as many 5.22x 102 colonies/ml, after ozonized for 5 minutes (42 mg) the number of coliform clonies obtained as many 0.02x102 colonies/ml, white in 10 minutes (83 mg), 15 minutes (125 gm) and 20 minutes (167 gm) obtained as many 0 colonies/ml. The result of kruskual wallis test showd the value of P.value 0,000 <(0,05). So there is a significant difference of the number of coliform after ozonized.
