Abstract

Bidara laut merupakan tanaman obat tradisonal yang mempunyai kandungan kimia yaitu alkaloid, steroid/triterpenoid dan tanin. Senyawa-senyawa tersebut memiliki aktivitas sebagai antibakteri. Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli merupakan bakteri flora normal yang dapat menjadi patogen apabila jumlahnya melebihi kadar normal.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui daya hambat yang terbentuk pada media yang di tanami bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli terhadap pemberian infusa batang bidara laut dengan konsentrasi 50%, 40%, 30%, dan 20% dan mengetahui konsentrasi daya hambat infusa batang bidara laut yang paling baik dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengujian bakteri adalah metode difusi sumuran. Hasil pengujian infusa batang bidara laut terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli dengan konsentrasi 50%, 40%, 30%, dan 20% tidak dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli. Kata Kunci : Batang Bidara Laut, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aueus   Sea Lotus plants oba t have the chemical content of traditional i.e. steroid/triterpenoid alkaloids, and tannins. Compound-compounds that have activity as antibacterial. Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli is a bacteria of the normal flora that can become pathogenic when the amount exceeds normal levels . The purpose of this research is to know the drag power, formed by the media in the tanami bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli against granting infusa stem bidara sea with a concentration of 50%, 40%, 30%, and 20% and knowing the concentration power of drag rods infusa bidara sea the most good in inhibiting the growth of bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. Methods used in testing the diffusion is a method of bacterial sumuran. The results of the test rod infusa bidara sea against the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli with a concentration of 50%, 40%, 30%, and 20% did not inhibit the growth of bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.
