Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the inhibition of infusa steam and sambiloto leaves on growth on C. albicans causes of candidiasis based on concentration 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, and 50%, analyzing the difference of inhibition between infusa steam and sambiloto leaves. C. albicans test fungi were obtained from Microboilogy Laboratory isolate stock of Muhammadiyah University of Semarang, while steam and sambiloto leaves obtained from Penggaron Kidul Village, Pedurungan, Semarang. This research included C. albicans cultivation, preparation of infusa steam and sambiloto leaves, antifungal activity testing was performed using diffusion of wells/perforation method with diameter 6 mm. The result showed average diameter of inhibition zone of infusa steam concentration 30% 15 mm while infusa leaf 16,33 mm, concentration 40% infusa steam 17,33 mm while infusa leaf 18 mm, and concentration 50% of infusa steam 19,66 mm and infusa leaf 20 mm. Result of Wilxocon Signed Rank Test showed there is the differences of inhibition between infusa steam and sambiloto leaves on growth of C. albicans. Result of Simple Regretion Linear Test showed infusa leaf of sambiloto have a inhibition better than sambiloto steam. Keywords : Candida albicans, Inhibition, Infusa, Sambiloto
