Abstract
Checking cholesterol levels can be done using POCT and Photometer tools. POCT tools are practical, easy and efficient tools, checks can be done independently. The examination results can be quickly detected and use a small sample. Photometer tools can produce accurate results, accuracy and The precision of the results is better than the POCT tool. Cholesterol levels are too low and too high can be read, through a good QC process [Quality Control]. The purpose of the study was to determine the ratio of cholesterol levels using POCT and Photometer tools. The study was an observational analytic study. Samples were all patients who came in June 2017 with inclusion and exclusion criteria, then samples were examined with both devices. The results of the examination showed the average of the results of examination of cholesterol levels with POCT tools higher when compared with Photometer tool. Samples of the study amounted to 35 patients, using kolmogorov-smirnow statistical test. Distribution of normal data then do statistical test Independent Sample t Test show Ha = there are differences in blood cholesterol levels in check using POCT and Photometer tool.
