Abstract
Salmonella typhi and Candida albicans are two kinds of bacteria and fungi that cause infectious disease one way to control that infection is by giving material that have antibacterial or antifungial feature. This research armed to know how the kersen leaf extract can inhibit S. typhi and C. albicans growth. This research use kersen leaf at 3rd – 5th segmen around University of Muhammadiyah Semarang. That leaf dred and poilinated then extracted with maseration method and ethanol 96% as the solvent. That extract diluted for 100%, 75%, 50% and 25% consentration. Antibacterial and antifungi tested with diffusion method and use the ring 6 mm in diameter. This research use media MHA (Muller Hinton Agar) for S. typhi and SDA ( Sabaroud Dextrosa Agar) for C. albicans. The result is extract kersen leaf can inhibit C. albicans at 100% consentration with 26 mm diameter and S. typhi with 16 mm Keywords : Candida albicans, Cherry Leaves Extract, Salmonella typhi
