Abstract

Penundaan pemeriksaan urin selama 2 jam pada suhu kamar dan tanpa penambahan bahan pengawet dapat mengurangi kualitas pemeriksaan, sehingga menyebabkan kesalahan diagnosis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil pemeriksaan glukosa pada sampel urin dengan dan tanpa pengawet toluena yang ditunda 2 jam pada suhu ruang. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian analitik. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 16 sampel urin positif glukosa dengan masing-masing sampel urin dibuat 2 perlakuan, sampel urin dipisahkan kedalam dua tabung masing-masing 5 ml, tabung pertama di isi urin 5 ml dan tabung kedua di isi urin 5 ml ditambah 1 tetes pengawet toluena lalu dibiarkan untuk diperiksa 2 jam kemudian. Hasil penelitian kadar glukosa urin dengan pengawet toluena rata-ratanya 453,12 mg/dL dan tanpa pengawet toluena rata-ratanya 390,62 mg/dL. Hal ini menunjukkan kadar glukosa urin 2 jam dengan pengawet toluena lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan yang tanpa pengawet toluena. Uji Paired Sampel Test didapatkan nilai signifikan 0,011(p <0,05) sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada hasil pemeriksaan glukosa urin 2 jam dengan dan tanpa pengawet toluena. Kata Kunci : Urin, Pengawet Toluena, Glukosa A delay of urine examination for 2 hours at the temperature and preservative dose can reduce the quality of the examination, thus causing a misdiagnosis. This study aims to determine differences in the results of glucose examination on urine samples with and without preservative toluene which is delayed 2 hours at room temperature. The type of research is analytic research. This study was conducted on 16 samples of glucose positive urine with each urine sample made 2 treatments, the urine sample is separated into two tubes of 5 ml each, the first tube in the contents of urine 5 ml and second tube in urine contents 5 ml plus 1 drop of preservative toluene then left to checked 2 hours later. The results of urine glucose concentration with the average toluene preservative was 453,12 mg / dL and without the average toluene preservative 390,62 mg / dL. This suggests a 2-hour urine glucose level with higher toluene preservatives compared with those without toluene preservatives. Paired Sample Test Test obtained significant value 0,011 (p <0,05) so it can be concluded that there is significant difference in result of 2 hour urine glucose examination with and without preservative toluene.
