Abstract

The presence of OFB in urine is expected to describe the state of blood fat which one of them is a picture of high cholesterol or hyperkoleterolemia. OFB is thought to be the cause of cholesterol crystal. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of hypercholesterolemia on the presence of oval fat bodies in the urine. The study sample was hypercholesterolemic patients who performed urine examination at RAA Soewondo Pati Hospital. The analysis used is Rank Spearman correlation. The results showed that the cholesterol level in the research samples obtained an average value of 257.9667 mg / dL, with the lowest cholesterol 210 mg / dL and the highest 448 mg / dL. All samples tested positive there is OFB in urine. There was a significant relationship between hypercholesterolaemia and the presence of OFB in urine.
