Abstract

Coronary heart disease patients should be undergoing cardiac catheterization program to determine the occurence of blockage in the blood vessels of the heart.Many patients who experience anxiety before cardiac catheterization.One of method that can be used to manage of anxiety is MurotalAl Qur’an Therapy.This research aims to determine the effect of Murotal Al - Quran Therapy on the anxiety level with patient pre-heart catheterization in the Eagle I RoomDr. KariadiHospital Semarang. The research used a quasi-experimental design withone-group pre-post test design.Purposive sampling is used to select a sample consisting of 20 respondents. The results of analysis with Wilcoxon showed that Murotal Al-Quran therapy had an effect on decreasing anxiety (p value 0,000).The recommendation of this research is that Murotal Al Qur’an Therapy can be used as an alternative intervention to treat an anxiety level of heart patients before undergoing cardiac catheterization.
