Abstract
Positioning is usually done by moving the patient between the right and left lateral followed by another body position such as supine or semi supine position. Some body positions can affect the development of lungs and thorax wall. Lung volumes and gas exchange can be affected by changes in position as well as pulse, especially ICU is a room where the patient occurs interference and even breath failure. This study aims to determine the effect of the lateral position of 300 tapping hemodynamic status of patients who installed mechanical ventilation in ICU Room RSUP dr Kariadi Semarang. The type of research is quasi experimental. Sampling using Conssecutive Sampling technique with the number of 15 respondents. Measurements were made before up to 5 minutes given the lateral position of 300. The difference of heart rate, respiratory rate, diastole and MAP were consumed before and 5 minutes after giving lateral position 300 indicated by Maunchly's Test of Sphericity test showing the significance level of 0.001, 0.025 , 0.01 and 0.029. The absence of difference is shown in SpO2 and systole which has a significance of chi square> 0.05%. Treatments that require lateral positioning should be timed and fast and safe.
