Abstract
Fever or heat are symptoms of typhoid fever. The body temperature will increase in the afternoon and evening, then will be normal or low in the morning. This may be due to treatment interventions or complications that may occur earlier. The number of leukocytes in patients with typhoid fever is low on day 3 because of endotoxin released by Salmonella typhi in the form of lipoporisakarida that spur the macrophages to activate the neutrophil so that the number of leukocytes decreases. The number of leukocytes has increased day to 7 fever due to increased production of cells in the body against infec- tion. Examination of leukocyte count using manual method with macro dilution. This study aims to determine the presence or absence of changes in the number of leukocytes in the 3rd and 7th days. This type of research is an analytical observation study. Samples were taken in total population where the total sample size was sampled as many as 25 samples. The result of the research was normality test with Saphiro Wilk got value 0,331 bigger than significant level> 0,05 then T paired test, got value p value 0,00 (<0,05), showed that there was difference of leukocyte count on day 3 and day 7.
