Abstract
Coliform bacteria are part of the normal microflora in the human digestive tract as well as an indicator of water quality because the presence of Coliform in water indicates that clean water has been contaminated by feces. Water is a very important material in human life one of which is for drinks. In the masyaraka environment, iced tea is a very popular beverage. Ice tea drinks may be contaminated with some microbes if the way they are treated does not meet the health standards. The purpose of this research is to count the number of Coliform in the tea ice drink in canteen X. Samples of 54 ice tea taken from 9 sellers in canteen X, the taking is done at 10.00 WIB and at 12.00 WIB, then the sample is checked using the method of total plate number of bacteria . The results of the tests performed on 54 samples at 9 canteen selling iced tea around the X campus were all contaminated with Coliform bacteria, average sampling in the morning with total Coliform from the smallest 133x109 CFU / mL to daylight sampling with total Coliform the largest 1140x109 CFU / mL.
