Abstract

Sports is a series of organized and consciously planned exercise to improve functional ability, according to the purpose of doing sports that are generally done in the morning when the air condition is still cool. Today many sport activities done at night due to busy at work in the morning until evening, and various other reasons. Air condition in the morning is different from the night, where the content of carbon dioxide at night more than oxygen, so it can give affect the circulation of oxygen in the body. This condition can lead to a decrease in the amount of oxygen that red blood cell production increases in order to bind more oxygen while exercising, so that hemoglobin levels will increase. This research aims to differences in hemoglobin levels before and after exercise in the night. The research was conducted on 33 respondens with age rang 20 – 40 years old. The result showed that the average hemoglobin level before exercise at night was 14,08 g/dL, while the average hemoglobin level after exercise at night was 15,13 g/dL. Based on Paired T Test, obtained p value 0,00 (<0,05), which mean H1 is accepted that there are difference of hemoglobin level before and after doing sports at night.
