Abstract

The examination of hemoglobin is one of daily exam for diagnosting of disease. The examination of hemoglobin have to attention to pre analytical factors to post analytic, however cause the personels are limited, so the samples having delayed in the examination untul three hours to get a turn for inspection. Blood who delayed until three hours on room temperature make the membran of erythrocite is ruptures (lisis), so the hemoglobin is free into surrounding medium (plasma). This research aims to determine the differences of hemoglobin on the samples are immediately checked and delay for three hours. This research is analytical observation use cross sectional method. The samples are outpatient patients who checked their hemoglobin, man and woman aged 20 until 35 years old. The result of this research on 34 samples showed that all hemoglobin is decreased after three hours delay with the average is 1,09 g/dl.
