Abstract

Sectio caecarea is surgery to give birth to the fetus by opening abdomen wall and uterine wall. Sectio caecarea action is necessary if normal childbirth is not possible done with abnormality state on the baby, mother who has placental abnormality, severe bleeding and preventing fetal death. The research goal was to know the description of hemoglobin level before and after sectio caesarea. The research type was descriptive. The research was conducted in laboratory of RSUD Purwodadi on November 2017. Research sample as much as 28 samples were obtained from sectio caecarea patients. The research result obtained that hemoglobin level before sectio caecarea < 11,0 g/dL as much as 8 patients (28,57%), while > 11,0 g / dL as much as 20 patients (71,43%). Hemoglobin level after sectio caecarea < 11.0 g/dL as much as 18 patients (64.29%), while > 11.0 g/dL as much as 10 patients (35.71%). Keywords: hemoglobin, sectio caesarea
