Abstract

Hematologic examination in the public health laboratory usually uses venous blood samples, because blood samples are needed quite a lot. If it is necessary to check the amount of erythrocytes, capillary blood is taken. Another difference based on the arrangement of the vein is more complex in the structure, the cells are also many. Capillary structure is simple, small and the cell number is small. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference between the number of blood venous erythrocytes and capillaries of the automatic method. The type of research is analytical research. Samples were taken in a total sampling of 40 respondents from all the total population of adult patients, then samples examined the amount of erythrocytes from venous blood samples and capillaries. The results showed the amount of erythrocytes using 4.442.425m3 venous blood samples and 4,187,325m3 capillaries. This shows the results of the examination count the number of blood venous erythrocytes higher than the capillaries. The paired t test statistic shows the significance value 0.000 with the significance level of 0,05 0.000 <0,05 so it can be concluded that there is difference of the amount of blood venous erythrocytes and kepiler of automatic method. Keywords: number of erythrocytes, venous blood, capillary blood
