Abstract

Quality Of Sleep is an indicator that describe freshness and fitness feelings of an individual after awoke up from sleep. The scope of quality of sleep includes subjectively quantitative aspects of sleep duration, sleep latency, day time actifity disfungtion, sleep medication history, sleep disorder and subjective component such as deep sleep and rest. The aim of this study is to discribe day olderly quality of sleep in Geiatric ward of Dr.Kariadi General Hospital. This is a descriptive study with 30 elderly respondents who go thourgh hospitalization in geriatric ward of Dr.Kariadi General Hospital. Sleep quality measurements using the Pitsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). The result of the study indicated there is an increase of patients sleep quality aqual to 47%, which means 16 respondents have good sleep quality after morning sun exposure.there is an 53% increased of sleep quality in 14 respondents a that previously have severe sleep disorder and poor sleep quality. Thus it can be concluded that there is an increase in eldery sleep quality who get morning sun exposure. Key words: sleep quality, sun exposure, PSQI
