Abstract
High blood pressure is an increase in blood pressure in the arteries that causes heart disease and deadly blood vessels if left untreated. Treatment of hypertension has two therapies, both pharmacologically and nonpharmacologically to avoid complications of hypertension. Non-pharmacologic treatment performed murottal and hydrotherapy therapy aimed to determine the effectiveness of murottal therapy and hydrotherapy on blood pressure in hypertensive patients in Srondol Kulon. This study used quasy experiment with two groups of the sample in the study of 32 respondents who have hypertension and according to inclusion that has been determined by the researcher with purposive sampling method. The result of delta mean systolic blood pressure murottal therapy -18.9375 and hydrotherapy -12.3125, delta mean diastolic blood pressure murottal therapy -10.8125 and hydrotherapy -9.6250, delta mean MAP murottal therapy -12.4375 and hydroterapi -10.5000. In conclusion there is a difference in effectiveness between murottal therapy and hydrotherapy in decreasing blood pressure in hypertensive patients murottal therapy is most effective in decreasing blood pressure in hypertensive patients in Srondol Kulon. Recommendations from the research that can be used for the treatment of murottal and hydrotherapy therapy to control blood pressure in hypertensive patients in improving nursing care.
