Abstract
Several cases of Patient fall in hospital becomes the most significant that needs to be considered as the main causes of injuries but would also decrease hospital credibility. For instance, when patien fall during hospitalization they would need more days to stay and it would extremely reduce people’s trust on the hospital it self and decrease hospital’s quality as well. It is stated in hospital accreditation documentthat avoiding risk of fall includes in standard 6 which should be carried out in all existing hospitals.this study aims at recognizing the corelation between nurse knowledge and its implementation to good practice to reduce fall risk avoidance in RSI(Islamic Hospital) Kendal. This study employs descriptive corelation study using cross sectional approach. There are at least 84 nurses as samples in this study. While the sampling process is using random sampling with proportionate stratified, analysis test using rank Spearman. The result shows that from 84 nurses as respondentindicate that at least 52 nurse (61,9%) are highly educated, whereas 32 nurses (38,1%) are not well educated about avoiding patient fall in RSI Kendal. The implication of fall risk avoidance practice in RSI Kendal has been carried out well. From the data it can be seen that at least 72 nurses (85,7%) implement the practice well while the other 12 nurse (only 14,3%) do not implement the practice well. It can be concluded that there is any significant relationship between nurse and fall management. Besides there is also any directly proportional between nurse knowledge and implementation of fall risk avoidance practice. Besides, the result of the Spearman rank analysis test with p value=0,000 and rxy=0,670. Or in the other words, it can also be said that the higher the nurse knowledge will make nurse performance in this practice better.
