Abstract

Blood pressure can be fluctuate in any condition, such a condition is location of blood pressure measurement. Generally, blood pressure measurement was done in arm. Measuring blood pressure in leg was done when arm cannot be used. The aim of this research is to find out the differences of blood pressure’s result (systolic, diastolic, and MAP) between arm and leg. Research had been held in Roemani Muhammadiyah Hospital on January 2018. Research method is analytic observational with cross sectional approachment. Sample data was determined by consecutive sampling. As the result showed there is differences in blood pressure ( systolic, diastolic, and MAP) between arm and leg measurement. Data collected from the research are: average result for differences of systolic pressure between arm and leg is 17.635 mmHg (13.32%), average result for differences of diastolic pressure between arm and leg is 6.288 mmHg (8.04%), and average result for differences of MAP between arm and leg is 10,071 mmHg (10,46%). Kolmogorov-Smirnov statistic test result showed there are significant differences from blood pressure measurement between arm and leg with p-value 0,000 (p ≤ 0,05). As the recomendation, blood pressure measurement can be done in leg with a higher result than in arm should be notify. Keyword : blood pressure, arm, leg Indeks : 28 (2007-2013)
