Abstract

Microsporum sp. is a group of mold that causes dermatophytosis. The chemical composition in lemongrass (Cymbopogom citratus) consists of flavonoids, saponins and tannins are known have fuction as an antifungal. The purpose of this research is to known inhibitions of lemongrass leaves ethanol extract against the growth Microsporum sp. with amount of substances are 25 mg, 50 mg, 75 mg and 100 mg. Which the sample using is Microsporum sp. isolate obtained from RSUP Dr. Kariadi Semarang. Lemongrass leaves are macerated method with ethanol 96%. The test inhibitions was prepared by diffusions of wells method in SGA plate. The result of study showing that amount of substances 75 mg and 100 mg can inhibiting the growth of Microsporum sp. Amount of substances 25 mg 50 mg can not inhibiting the growth of Microsporum sp. Key words : Lemongrass leaves, Inhibitions, Microsporum sp.
