Abstract
Background: LGBT is a group of people who have sexual orientation disorders. The increasing number of LGBT is a worrying thing, especially for the youth group. Based on a preliminary study in MAN 2, Semarang City, 10 respondents showed that most of the respondents had insufficient knowledge but had perceptions that did not support LGBT Purpose : Knowing the relationship between parenting, peers and knowledge of teenagers' perceptions of LGBT in MAN 02 Semarang City. Method: This type of research is observational analytic research using a cross sectional study design. The population in the study were 294 respondents in class XII Science and Social Sciences XII totaling 8 classes. The study sample ware 75 respondents. The independent variable of this study is parenting, peer, and knowledge, then the dependent variable of this study is the perception of respondents about LGBT. The analysis used is Chi-Square and Rank Sperman. Results: 57 respondents (76%) had democratic parenting, 39 respondents (52%) had influential peers, 41 respondents (54.7%) had moderate knowledge, 42 respondents (56%) had perceptions of not supporting LGBT. parenting parents with perception (p = 0.435), peer relationships with perception (p = 0.213), relationship of knowledge with perception (p = 0.001). Conclusion: There is no relationship between parenting and peer care with adolescent perceptions of LGBT and there is a relationship of knowledge with adolescent perceptions about LGBT.
