Abstract

Background: hearing loss is one of the occupational diseases frequently encountered in the workplace Approximately 4.1% of people in the world are estimated to experience hearing loss with moderate to heavy levels resulting from exposure to noise levels height.Methods: cross sectional approach to Analytic research. Samples in this study as many as 40 people, using total sampling.the dependent variable is hearing impairment. statistical analysis data using the Chi square.The result: a furniture Worker has a 30 year age category < 27 (67.5%), the category of working period are not at risk as much as 27 (67.5%), the category of workers use APT as many as 25 (37.5%) workers, and categories don't exist as much ear disease history 22 ( 55.0%) workers. Conclusion : There is a meaningful relationship between age (p = 0.000), mass (p = 0.015), the use of APT (p = 0.000), a history of ear disease (p = 0.023) Keywords: hearing loss, the furniture workers.
