Abstract
Background: Laundry liquid waste produced from detergents and clothes deodorizers. Waste water from laundry can cause disruption and impact on the environment and health. Total Suspended Solid (TSS) is one of the contents of hazardous laundry waste, Moringa Seeds can be used as a water purifier because there are positively charged proteins. This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the reduction of TSS levels and coagulant of liquid waste laundry with Kelor fruit powder. Method: each waste sample was 1000 ml of moringa seed powder with a dose of 0.4 g, 0.8 g, 1 g in each sample and then stirred with fast stirring and precipitated for 30 minutes, the results were taken and TSS measurements were carried out. Results: The difference test resulted in p = 0,000 (p> 0,05), which means that H0 was rejected, there was a difference in the reduction in TSS levels in the treatment in the control group, 0.4 gr, 0.8 gr, and 1 gr.p -value <0.05. Conclusion: there is the effect of moringa seeds on the reduction in TSS of laundry liquid waste. Keywords: TSS, Moringa fruit seeds powder, laundry liquid waste
