Abstract
Background: Reproductive health is the condition of physical health, mentally and social intactly. Developing basic knowledge of reproductive health to blind students can be done with implementation of learning. Media use plays an important role because it helps to deliver the information and helps the understanding smoothly. One of the education media that suitable for blind people was audio media. Purpose: Produce an audio media such as a jingle of reproductive health (menstrual preparation) for IV – VI grade female students of Blind SDLB. Method: Qualitative with the model of P-Process development. The media test was did to material expert, media expert, and IV – VI grade female students of Blind SDLB. Result: Information needs of the blind students about reproductive health were menstruation and the signs and reproduction hygiene, and presented with easy way to understand by the students and used a suitable media such as jingle audio media. The developed media was called “Jingle Menstruasi”. The result from the material expert shows that the audio media was very good in delivering the information about menstruation (percentage: 90%) and the result from media expert was good for education media (percentage: 80%). The suggested improvements for the jingle audio media were improvements in lyrics and the voice. The result of small scale shows that the students were enthusiastic and understands the lyrics of the “Jingle Menstruasi”. Conclusion: Jingle audio media needs some improvements that more suitable for IV – VI grade female students of Blind SDLB.
