Abstract
Background: The use of APD is the final stage of hazard control, even though the use of APD will be maximized if done with other controls such as elimination, substitution, engineering and administration. The benefits of using APD when working are very large in the prevention of work accidents, but in reality there are still many workers who do not use APD while working. Objective: To find out the relationship between APD, knowledge, education and APD use behavior in Bangsri Village. Method: This research is analytical research using a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were all welding workers in Bangsri Village, amounting to 30 people. The independent variable of APD availability, knowledge and education the dependent variable is the behavior of APD use. Data analysis using Chi-square test. Result:. As many as 60% of welding entrepreneurs have provided APD, there is a relationship between the availability of APD and APD use behavior in welding workers in Bangsri (p = 0,000). There is no correlation between knowledge with APD usage behavior in welding workers in Bangsri (p =0,425). There is no relationship between education and APD use behavior in welding workers in Bangsri (p = 1,000). Conclusion: The availability of APD has a relationship with the use of APD.
