Abstract

Background: Pulmonary tuberculosis is an infectious infectious disease caused by bacteria. This disease requires long-term healing. Long periods of time affect medication adherence. Medication adherence is influenced by family support (emotional support, appreciation, instrumental and information). The aim of the study was to find out the mapping of pulmonary tuberculosis distribution and medication adherence, family support relationships (emotional support, appreciation, instrumental and information) with medication adherence. Methods: Independent variables of emotional support, appreciation support, instrumental support and information support. The dependent variable was adherence to taking medication. Type of quantitative research. Correlation research design with cross sectional approach. Population of pulmonary TB patients January-July 2018 in the work area of Kedungmundu Health Center. The purposive sampling technique consisted of 26 samples. Results: Analysis of the mapping of pulmonary TB distribution by 30 points in January-July. Compliance mapping analysis with 4 non-compliant points (Look 3 and Sambiroto 1), emotional support supports 24 respondents, reward support supports 21 respondents, instrumental support supports 22 respondents, information support supports 24 respondents. Correlation between emotional support and obedience p = 0.018, reward support with adherence p = 0.000, instrumental support with adherence p = 0.006, information support with 0.018 compliance.
