Abstract
Background: IUD contraception is one way to reduce maternal mortality by sparing pregnancy. This type of IUD Copper-T has a way of working by releasing levonorgestrel with a low concentration for a minimum of five years. Based on preliminary study data obtained data on the number of IUD KB acceptors in Bangetayu Health Center in Semarang in January-July 2018 obtained 14 acceptors. Whereas the IUD KB experienced problems as many as 3 acceptors. One acceptor with spotting and two acceptors with menstruation does not stop. Purpose: To provide midwifery care to IUD KB acceptors in Semarang Bangetayu Health Center in accordance with Hellen Varney's seven steps. Method: The method used in carrying out this care is interview, observation, documentation study, and literature study. Result: Case of IUD KB acceptor in Ny. E, PIA0 26 years old with spotting for 2 weeks after IUD insertion was given Midwifery Care in the form of IEC about personal hygiene, IEC about spotting, moral support, and Fe 1x1 tablet therapy per days with combination pills (0.2 mg ethinylesstradiol 2x1 per day). Evaluation after 3 days is given Midwifery care with reduced spotting. Mother is willing to keep using the IUD KB, and the mother is willing to control if there are complaints. Conclusion: There is no gap between the theory and the case in the puskesmas. Keywords: KB, IUD
