Abstract

Background: Mastitis is a process of inflammation in one or more breast segments that may be accompanied by infection or without infection. Cracked nipples / fissures can be the pathway for the occurrence of S. aureus infection. Apply a few drops to the nipple area. Finally breastfeeding can improve healing. Mastitis is a common problem in nursing mothers. The result of preliminary study at Puskesmas Donorojo Jepara regency got data of the number of postpartum from January - December 2017 as many as 1042 people. The number is composed of postpartum mastitis experienced as many as 52 people (5%), Based on these data indicate there is still mastitis incidence in Donorojo Community Health Center, Jepara regency is 5%. In 2018 from January to April there are 203 postpartum mothers. The amount consisted of normal postpartum as many as 150 people (73%), postpartum mastitis experienced as much as 2 people (0.9%). Research method: This paper is a case study report using a varney obstetric management approach that includes seven steps: identification of baseline data, identification of diagnoses or actual problems, diagnosis identification or potential problems, implementing immediate action and collaboration, planning midwifery care , implementing midwifery care and evaluation of midwifery care.. Research Result : Ny. N P1A0 age of 23 years of puerperal period with mastitis can heal and recover within 5 days.Nery press, swelling, flushing, wound on the nipple has healed. Mother has been doing breast care every day, the mother is willing to breastfeed in accordance with the needs of her baby. Conclusion: After being given nursing care of Ny N patients with mastitis, there is a gap between theory and practice that is on respiration. According to the theory there is an increase in respiration 30 x / min, whereas in case of respiration 24 x / min. Because respiration Ny N P1A0 is normal, so there is no need for handling or alternative treatment.
