Abstract

Background:Newborn (neonatal) mortality is still a health problem. The number of cases of infant mortality in Indonesia in 2017 in the first semester was 10,294 cases. The infant mortality rate in Pekalongan District in 2016 was 85 cases, the cause of death due to congenital abnormalities was 11 cases. Congenital abnormalities cause neonatal death as well as causes of stillbirth and spontaneous abortion. Data from RSUD Kraton number of births with congenital abnormalities in 2018 to March there are 6 cases consisting of 1 case of down syndrome, 1 polydactyli, 2 congenital abnormalities in the intestine, and 2 congenital heart defects. Objective:Giving midwifery care to By. Mrs. D age 2 days with congenital malformasi labiopalatoskizis in Kraton Pekalongan Hospital with varney midwifery management Method: This Final Project Report is a case study report using descriptive method which is a research method used with the main objective to objectively describe a situation. This case study will describe the pathology of neonatal midwifery care in By. Mrs. D is 2 days old with labiopalatoskizis in Pekalongan Kraton Hospital. Outcome: Midwifery care that has been given to By. Mrs. D that is when the baby is 2 months old refer to Kraton Hospital for labio surgery, after surgery the wound care, breastfeeding and baby care are delivered home using the Puskesmas ambulance.
