Abstract
Background: Central Java is a province in Indonesia with the greatest potential disaster, especially flood disaster (BNPB, 2016). In 2018 there was a flood disaster in the Mangkang Wetan area, Semarang. There were 20 babies aged 0-2 years as victims. Problems that often arise in flood disasters are the emergence of several infectious diseases such as leptospirosis diarrhea, and dysentery caused by poor sanitation. In this situation, the baby is very potential to be exposed to infectious or non-communicable diseases. The priority that needs to be considered in this condition is the fulfillment of nutrition for the baby to maintain the body's resilience so that it is not easily infected by these infectious diseases. Objective: This study aims to describe baby feeding in a flood disaster situation in Mangkang Wetan Rw 03 Semarang City. Method: This type of research was descriptive qualitative with a sampling technique that is purposive sampling. The research was conducted using in-depth interviews. The data obtained is then analyzed descriptively. Result: There were two main informants (victims) and three supporting informants. Supporting informants said that they had distributed aid in the form of milk, sugar, coffee, tea, sardines, cooking oil, rice, instant noodles, drinks, bedding and blankets. There was no food aid for babies and there were no health workers who come to provide counseling about feeding for babies aged 0-2 years. Conclusion: There is a difference between victims and supporting informants in giving answers. Supporting informants explained that the types of assistance distributed included basic needs and basic necessities, while the victims state that they only received food logistics assistance once when the first day of the disaster occurred and did not receive special food assistance for babies. Keywords: Flood Disaster, Baby Feeding, Baby Aged 0-2 years
