Abstract

The elderly experience a decline in various body systems which include several aspects, both biological, physiological, psychosocial and spiritual. Among them have an impact on sleep changes. Sleep disturbances can affect the quantity of sleep. Foot bath therapy using warm water is effective to increase the quantity of sleep in the elderly. The purpose of applying warm water foot baths is useful in reducing muscle contraction so as to cause a relaxed feeling that can treat symptoms of sleep deprivation. The outhor applies to 2 respondents with elderly aged over 60 years. The results of the application carried out has increased, meaning that there is an affect of warm water soak on the feet in increasing the quantity of sleep in the elderly and effectively used to increase the quantity of sleep in the elderly who experience sleep disordes.
