Abstract

Background: One of the precipitating factors of stress in a child while being treated in a hospital is an invasive procedure that must be experienced. Such as infusion, blood sampling, skin test on antibiotic administration, as an effort in the treatment process suffered by children Objective: To describe nursing care for school-age children who are infused with the provision of pure honey in the Salatiga regional hospital general orchid room. Method: This case study uses a descriptive observational method. The author applies the act of giving orally pure honey to reduce pain in school-age children at the time of invasive action. The author observes and describes the child's pain response. Results and Discussion: Assesment from 4 children with ners diagnose acute pain, 3 children are given pure honey during venous function while 1 child is not given pure honey. The results of this observation were 3 children who were given pure honey 5 minutes before the infective action experienced mild pain and 1 child who was not given pure honey experienced moderate pain Keywords: Invasive Action, Pure Honey, Acute Pain
