Abstract
Laughing therapy is useful for suppressing ephineprin secretion and increasing endorphine secretion so that the feeling becomes peaceful. Laughter can reduce the circulation of two hormones in the body, namely epinephrine and cortisol (hormones released when stressed) released by Hiptalamus. If both hormones are released, it can block the healing process of the disease, so in a happy or laughing state, the hypothalamus will release the hormone endhorphine which functions to reduce pain and increase immunity. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of laughing therapy in controlling violent behavior in patients at risk of violent behavior. This type of research is descriptive study that is applying case studies with nursing action processes in the form of intervention, implementation and evaluation. The place of research was conducted at RSJD Dr. Amino Gondohutomo, Central Java Province. Based on data on the number of patients in the RSJD Dr. Amino Gondohutomo of Central Java Province in the last 3 months totaled 39 in Madrim Room, 97 in Upip Room, and 49 in Citro Anggodo Room. The results of the application of laughing therapy that was applied for three days proved to be effective to be applied in the RSJ from both clients more calm, cooperative, and more relaxed clients were able to control anger.
