Abstract

Pain is a personal experience that is expressed differently. Medical actions that often cause pain are surgery. Complications of surgical appendectomy are pain. Post appendectomy patients need maximum care to accelerate the return of body function. This is done by giving early mobilization interventions (joint motion exercises, gait, activity tolerance according to ability and body alignment). Early mobilization after laparatomy can be done since in the recovered conscious space with right / left slant and passive range of motion. Early mobilization exercises can improve blood circulation which will trigger a decrease in pain. Objective: Effectiveness of early ambulation on decreasing pain intensity in patients post operative appendixitis Results: There was a decrease in pain intensity on days I, II and III after the application of early mobilization, early mobilization in patients with postoperative appendectomy can be an intervention in postoperative pain management. Keywords : Pain intensity, early mobilization, appendectomy
