Abstract
Hypertension is a disease that has become a problem in the world and is a major cause of heart failure, stroke, kidney failure. Complaints that often arise in hypertensive patients are dizziness or headaches and a feeling of heaviness in the neck. Actions in dealing with hypertension can be done by pharmacology and nonpharmacology. One non-pharmacological action is Benson relaxation therapy. The purpose of this paper is to describe nursing care of patients with pain nursing problems and the risk of ineffectiveness of cerebral tissue perfusion in cases of hypertension with special intervention of Benson relaxation therapy. The method used in the form of case studies with nursing care in one patient and conduct assessments, nursing diagnoses, nursing action plans, nursing actions, and evaluation. Data collection was carried out using interview and physical examination methods. After that, Benson relaxation therapy was performed. The results of the application of benson relaxation therapy for 5 consecutive days in patients found a decrease in the patient's blood pressure. The conclusion from this case study is that after the application of benson relaxation therapy in hypertensive patients with pain nursing problems and the risk of ineffectiveness of serebral tissue perfusion has a positive impact on the results of blood pressure reduction. For this reason, it is hoped that this Benson relaxation therapy can be applied in nursing care of clients with pain nursing problems and the risk of ineffectiveness of cerebral tissue perfusion can be carried out by families independently at home.
