Abstract
Fractures are discontinuity of bone that occurs due to trauma or non-trauma. Fractures can cause physical weakness. Fractures can cause a pain response that occurs due to discontinuity or friction, resulting in injury that is marked by the release of prostaglandin which will then be transmitted to the brain into a perception of pain so that the patient feels pain. The purpose of this case study is to apply Qur'anic murrotal therapy to reduce pain intensity in post-fracture patients. The writing method used was descriptive study, subjects were femoral fracture patients on the 2nd day with male gender as many as 2 patients aged 45 and 63 years who were hospitalized at Roemani Muhammadiyah Semarang Hospital with intensity pain scale of 4-6, given murrotal Al-Qur'an therapy for 3 days with a duration of 20 minutes each session. The results of this case study showed that in both patients before being given therapy 6 pain scale (moderate pain) and 5 (moderate pain), after being given murrotal Al-Qur'an therapy for the second 20 minutes the patient's pain dropped to a scale of 3 (mild pain). The average pain before murrotal action is a scale of 5 (moderate pain) while after murrotal therapy for 3 days the average patient's pain is on a scale of 3 (mild pain). Recommend the importance of murrotal in pain management as one of the complementary post-patient therapy in pain management in addition to pharmacological therapy. At the time of murrotal Al-Qur'an therapy, you should use earphones so that there is no sound interaction from other patients or visitors, and provide a special room when doing therapy so as not to reduce the patient's concentration.
