Abstract
Background: The prevalence of mental disorders in Indonesia is also reported to be high. The Ministry of Health (2013) reports the prevalence of mental disorders in Indonesia, such as schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders reaching 1.7 perm (permil) of the population. That is, there are 1 to 2 people experiencing severe mental disorders every 1,000 inhabitants. If the prevalence is projected with the population of Indonesia in 2015 reaching 255,461,700 people, it is estimated that more than 500,000 people experience severe mental disorders (severe mental illness). According to the City Health Office of Central Java, the incidence of mental disorders in Central Java ranged from 3,300 to 9,300 people. Research method: In this study the authors used the descriptive study method by using the nursing approach process. The subjects in this case study were clients with hallucinations. Presentation of data by using material analysis content by comparing theory with facts found on the client. Overview: When the case was taken February 26, 2018. The place for this research was taken at the Kalinyamatan UPT. The method of research by giving classical music therapy, observation of hallucinations experienced by the client at the beginning of the study and after giving classical music therapy. Conclusion: From the results of the assessment of classical music therapy to clients with hallucinations, the results obtained that giving classical music therapy has an impact on the reduction of hallucinations experienced by clients with hallucinations.
