Abstract

Examination of urine made no later than 2 hours from the time a urine expelled. Delays urine will greatly affect the pH probe and the reduction of urine. If the sample is too long delayed, the results were no longer accurate results. Urine that delays will be changes by germs in the process of oxidation, hydrolysis and the influence of light (photodegradation). This research was conducted to distinguish the pH and the reduction of urine in patients of Diabetes mellitus on delay of 3, 4, and 5 hours. This type of research is experimental. Samples taken at random sample of six urine samples derived from patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 who have blood glucose levels> 200 mg / dL, then the sample is examined using the 3 treatment, which was delayed 3, 4, and 5 hours. Test results indicate the results of the urine pH were delayed 5 hours there is a difference differences 12,07 %, then the results of urine reduction is delayed 4 hours also are selisihperbedaan 28,26 %. Test was conducted, the results of the statistical distribution of the data is not normal on examination and the reduction of pH urine test Kruskal Wallis continued with. The final results of the Kruskal Wallis test is the value of p = 0.05 0.014 <, so Ho and Ha is accepted, rejected or that it can be inferred that there is an influence of time delay against the pH of urine and the reduction of urine.
