Abstract

Air pollution is one of the atmospheric changes , because many materials contaminants mixed into the atmosphere. One of the air pollution the vehicle’s gas emissions. The air pollution component which absorbed through our respiratory system. Workers in particular the bus terminal every day located within the intensity of air pollution high and vulnerable exposed to air pollution. The purpose of this reserch is to know and describe the erythrocyte index in bus driver who work in Penggaron Bus Station Semarang based on how long do they work and self defence equipment which they use. The methodology a sort of descriptive set. Samples to be taken by 34 samples from 35 bus driver in terminal penggaron semarang. Sample examined using hematology analyzer accompanied filling out the questionnaire. The results of the study sample of 34, 2 was taken probably by lot of people who are employed < 3 years, 7 person who working 7-9 years , the 25 person >10 years. 14 person used a protective self , 20 person is not receiving any form protective self. 12 person with an index erythrocytes not normal , and 22 person with an index erythrocytes normal. There is no significant effect from using self defence equipment and long time working with the results of erythrocytes index. Keywords : Bus Driver, Index Erythrocytes.
