Abstract
Flies have an intermediary in the case of public health. These insect can become mechanical and biological vectors in the spread of disease and can transmit the disease through all parts of the body such as faeces, vomit, body feathers, and feathers limbs such as legs. Various disease that can be transmitted among other protozoan cyst, bacteria, enterovirus and worm eggs. Market are hotbet of human activity as well as potential for the developmentof flies as abundant availability of organic materials. This type of research is descriptive survey to determine wheter there were Soil Transmitted worm eggs in the fly to perform laboratory test using physiological concentration NaCl. The study population is all flies Mranggen market Demak. Sample determine by purposive sampling of 50 flies on the 5 point locations in the area of food vendors and a random sampling of 60 flies from the 3 point area polling location in major markets Demak Mranggen taken twice on different days. The result showed a positive result Hookworm eggs 18,2%, while the negative result of 81,8%. The result are exaggerated species of Soil Transmitted Helminths is Hookworm eggs 18,2%, while Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura and Strongyloides stercoralis not found. Other parasites found in a sample of polling stations that worm eggs Taenia sp with a percentage of 9,1%. Therefore the authors suggest for people to always pay attention to the cleanliness of food or beverages consumed and to wash clean the meat which has been purchased from the market and cook until done, so avoid parasites contamination.
