Abstract

Erythrocyte index or mean corpuscular index is a laboratory test that can be used to uphold the anemia diagnosis. Decreased value of erythrocyte index is one of the complications that occur in 80 - 90% chronic kidney failure patients. The purpose of this research is to know the description of erythrocyte index on patients with chronic kidney failure, which includes MCV, MCH, and MCHC. The research type is descriptive with cross sectional approach. The sample is total number of patients with chronic kidney failure with a doctor's diagnosis on the research day. The sampling technique was using total sampling method that a method which samples are taken that meet the requirements. The research result is erythrocyte index value. Average MCV value is 76,2 fl, as much as 99%. Average MCH value is 24,7pg, as much as 72%,. Average MCHC value is 33.31 g / dl, as much as 87%.
