Abstract
Preparation of preparations is the act or process of preparing or preparing a media, pathological specimen or anatomy ready and preserved for research and examination. In the preparation of the permanent preparation of Pediculus humanus capitis begins by immersion in 10% KOH for 15 hours, dehydration process, clearing process, and latter mounting process. This research was conducted to determine the quality of permanent preparation of Pediculus humanus capitis with soaking time in KOH 20% for 5 hours, 10 hours and 15 hours. Data Scale in this research use categorical data and statistical test which is used is chi-square test because to see There is a relation between quality of permanent preparation of pediculus humanus capitis with variation of immersion time in KOH 20%. This research type is experiment. Based on chi-square test in get significance value p = 0,00 (p <0,05). It can be concluded that statistically there is a relationship between treatment (soaking in 20% KOH for 5 hours, 10 hours and 15 hours) with the quality of the preparation (thick and thin). The result of permanent manure preparation of Pediculus humanus capitis with all good quality preparation is soaking in KOH 20% for 10 hours. In soaking for 5 hours produce good quality preparations as much as 9 out of 10 permanent preparations. While on the immersion for 15 hours experiencing destruction on Pediculus humanus capitis so that can not be made dosage. Key words : Permanent preparations, KOH 20%, Pediculus humanus capitis.
