Abstract

This study aimed to identify bacteria and fungi on corneal ulcers. This study used corneal ulcers from 7 samples of patients at Solo Eye Hospital. Identification of bacteria using Mac Conkey media, Blood Agar Plate, Heart Infusionion Agar, biochemical test medium, Manitol Salt Agar, Nutrient Agar, and novobiosin disc and for fungi identification using Sabaroud Glukose agar medium and 10% KOH solution. Results of research on corneal ulcers from 7 samples found 6 bacterial isolates consisting of Alkaligenes sp. one isolate (14,29%), Staphylococcus aureus two isolates (42,86%), Staphylococcus saprofiticus one isolate (42,86%), Staphylococcus epidermidis two isolates (14,29%) and found 7 isolates of Aspergillus flavus fungi four isolates (57.14%), Aspergillus fumigatus one isolate (14.29%), Candida sp. two isolates (28,57%).
