Abstract
Pregnant women are advised for routine check up with doctor or midwife and laboratory’s check. One kind of the check that have to be committed is routine check of urine. Second trimester of pregnancy, the renal venous pressure will increase, enlarged of kidney size that can be affected the filtration rate of glomerolus so the protein out along with urine. Most of the pregnant’s outcome is positive protein (albumin) in urine. Protein in urine is showed by muddy/turbid urine that can influence the specific gravity of urine. The measuring of specific gravity is effected by any big substance (protein, glucose, or calcium) which have been fuse in urine. The purpose of this research is describing the content of urine’s specific gravity who has positive urine protein as her test result. Research type is descriptive. The study population was on2nd Trimester Pregnant Woman. Samples of this research are datas of pregnant patient on their trimester 2 who check for routine urine test among December 2016 until January 2017 period with positive urine protein as their test result and then they have to check the specific gravity of urine on Prodia Salatiga Laboratory. Result of the researchs show that 21 (twenty one) patients have normal specific gravity of urine which 20 patients have contents of urine protein about 25 mg/dl (+1) and a patient has contents of urine protein about 75 mg/dl (+2). There’re also 8 patients who have abnormal result of urine specific gravity and content of urine protein. Keywords : Positive Urine Protein (albumin), Urine Specific Gravity
