Abstract

Vaginal discharge refers to secretions from vagina. The discharge may be normal and abnormal (pathologis), normal vaginal discharge be affected by hormonal that following increasing secretions of vagina while abnormal discharge can be caused by bacterial ang fungi. The aim of this study is to describe bacterial ang fungi diversity in secretions of vaginal discharge. Sample methods of 30 patient’s vaginal secretions in RSUP Dr.Kariadi Semarang. Description of diversity bacteria and fungi were carried out by culture identification Lactobacillus on MRS broth and subculture on MRS agar, in BHI culture and in MC subculture for Gram negative rod, Blood Agar Plate for Gram positive coccus, SDA for Candida sp and Gram staining For Neisseria gonnorhoeae. The results are shown Candida sp 13 (43,33%), Escherichia coli 12 (40,00%), Klebsiella pneumoniae 8 (26,67%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa 5 (16,67%), Staphylococcus aureus 12 (40,00% %), Staphylococcus epidermidis 5 (16.67%), Neisseria gonnorhoeae (0%) and Lactobacillus 8 (26.67%).
