Abstract

Diseases caused by worm until now are health problems that frequently found . Indonesia one of the countries with high intestinal worms infection. There are a lot of factor that contributing to the high number of nematode contamination in the intestines, one of them is consuming the raw and unwashed Lactuca sativa. Lactuca sativa grown directly contacted to the ground soil. Researchers purpose of this research is to described the intestine nematode existence in Lactuca sativa. The research was done descriptivly using sedimentation methods. Samples taken randomly and 20 Lactuca sativa from 4 market. Each market the researcher take the Lactuca sativa from 5 merchant. The study was held in parasitology laboratory of faculty of nurse science and health Muhammadiyah University of Semarang on November 2016. The researchers found that nematode was positive existed in 20 of 20 Lactuca sativa from the Bandungan market. Type Ascaris lumbricoides was 100% existed in all samples and infective form of eggs was 55%. Key words : intestine nematode, lactuca sativa
